Last Deployment Broke the Game. Won't launch.

Game won't launch at all on Windows 11. This is affecting multiple gaming laptops in my household with different steam accounts, all running the 64bit version of dst. Still working on steam deck.

Fails when it gets to the loading screen with the warning "Unable to write files to the config directory. Please make sure you have permissions for your Klei save folder." Goes straight to the loading screen without presenting the browse/host game menu. 

To no avail, I've gone thru all of your troubleshooting tips that I found by clicking on the "Get More Help" button. 

Haven't recently deployed any updates to Windows. Stopped my anti-virus. Ran as administrator...

Also tried uninstalling/reinstalling the game - no luck. 

Most likely culprit is the most recent dst deployment that was applied immediately before the failure. 

Note: There are no .mdmp files or directories in the bin
