Some time ago it was possible to place Jubilantern posts right next to already existing fence (either by first playing the posts and then placing the fence, or the other way around):
Currently the same design is no longer possible, no matter if I place fence first:

Notably, the placement box of other existing lamp structures (Glowcaps and Mushlights) don't have this issue and can be placed closer to a fence:
The Jubilantern Post placing restriction serves nothing impactful to the actual gameplay, it only restricts creative freedom when making builds, forcing you to spread out Jubilantern Posts too far away from the fence, or replace them with a different lamp structure which looks different visually.
Please revert Jubilantern Post placement box back to the smaller one they used to have.
Try to replicate this build that was once possible in the past (fence 1 notch into the adjacent tile, Jubilantern post on 1;1 inside the tile):
1. Place a fence on adjacent tile 1 notch away from the line that separates tiles;
2. Try to place a Jubilantern Post right next to the fence in the inner corner of the tile on the position of 1;1 according to Geometric Placement grid - it's not possible;
3. Try the other way around: remove the fence, place Jubilantern post first in the corner of a tile (1;1) and try to place a fence behind it on the adjacent tile - the game doesn't allow it anymore.
