Insight Points resetting when entering caves

Upon entering the caves for the first time in a new world, I noticed all of my Insight Points on Willow were gone when I previously had 15 when loading into the world. The issue persisted after exiting the caves, and even after closing and reloading the world several times.

I made another new world and had all of my Insight back, but entering the caves in that world yielded the same results; all of my Insight gone. 

I made yet another world but this time selected Wortox. I unlocked a couple of abilities in his Skill Tree before resetting them manually and loading in again as Willow. This time, I was able to enter and exit the caves with my Insight Points intact. Rolling back into the character selection screen in that world produced the same results (keeping my Insight in the caves) even without replicating what was done with Wortox before loading in. 

The account I'm playing on is a recently merged Playstation/Steam account, with the Playstation account being the primary but currently playing on PC, if that helps at all. I've made sure both accounts are synced.
