Input device switches to controller on world start/exit and cave enter/exit (fix steam deck controls also)

I’m also experiencing this issue if someone could help 

I'm also expecting this. It's annoying to have to run away from basilisks whenever I'm in someone else's server, even had to leave Chaster behind a few times.

First go to properties/compatibility and force DST to run in steam linux runtime. Then change your current controller layout for DST to one that uses keyboard and mouse inputs. I just typed in "mouse and keyboard" in load new layout's search field and picked the 1st one.

The 1st step lets you use mouse and keyboard and the 2nd should stop it from defaulting to controller prompts.  I am running it in desktop mode but I believe the above fixes should work fine in handheld as well.
