I have this issue with growing the giant trees. They don't finish growing if they are under another giant tree already, maybe thats intentionnal. But you can bypass that if you plant both of the seeds close to each other and chunkload them at the same time (via teleportation for example) when the last growing cycle end off screen, making them growing correctly at the same time. In this case you can put 2 giant trees next to each other which is supposed to be prevented I think. Prevent us correctly from doing it or allow us to do it more easily. Personnay I prefer If you allow it since you lost tree range per tree by doing that (it balance).
Ok nevermind all this
I just remember having trouble growing them under, but it seems to work now.
Plant multiple oceantreenuts within their own range when they are grown
Grow them until last stage before growing giant (3 flowers and tree jammed)
Go off screen for a couple days
Come back via teleporting (making them grow at the same time so none of them prevent the other from growing giant
Have 2 grown giant tree next to each other
