Getting colorful glitchy noise instead of textures all over the game including the main menu

Certain textures being replaced by glitchy colored textures.

This has been happening since the last update (the moonquay one), i didn't change any of my mods before this started so i doubt its caused by that but i still put a list of my mods and more photos on a reddit post., i verified the integrity of my game files on steam and restarted my computer and the game several times but this error still happens every time i try to play, sometimes better sometimes worse though, last time i played the entire map background was replaced by this blue-green glitchy texture.

Steps to Reproduce

I genuinely have no idea because this just happens every time i start the game so....

1-) Open the game (?)

User Feedback

Could you try disabling that wormhole marker mod you have on and trying this again? If that does not help try making a new non modded world and trying without any mods on?

I really doubt its caused by the world im on because the glitch starts before i load any of the servers as i showed on the screenshots, it's there starting from the main menu.

I just tried again after unsubscribing from the wormhole marker mod and created a new world without any mods enabled, and it still happens.

Does this happen in other games at all or is it strictly a Don't Starve Together issue? The textures look corrupted and I want to rule out hardware as a potential reason. Have you had any new graphics card drivers installed?

Nope never had this issue in another game/application before, i didn't install a new graphics card either i have been using the same laptop for about 5 years now. However i do have a graphics driver update ready apparently im checking that right now, i'll report back to see if that fixes it

As a more drastic measure could you uninstall and then install the game entirely? I have tested this on hardware with lower specs than yours and I am unable to reproduce this. My thinking is that the hard drive might be failing and is reading bad inputs. Ultimately the texture is getting corrupted in some fashion and I want to rule out hardware as a potential as much as I can. If the full reinstall fixes the issue I would advise getting a backup drive immediately and doing a check disk to see how damaged the drive is. If it does not I will ask that you check out your graphics card driver settings to see if it is forcing something on when it should not like anisotropic filtering or other graphics card specific optimizations being applied.
