Friend stuck on connecting to server when trying to join me

same problem with our server too.
 

same problem, tried a few things and it doesn't work.

I experienced the same problem, we gave up after 40+ minutes of connecting and multiple attempts

We were able to join each other locally on the same wifi, but joining online still isn't working.

hi are you guys on South East Asian server? 
i tried to host again no mods server nor client .. 
but someone from germany can join but my SEA friend cant ..

Found a solution!!! The German VPN works!!😀 Thanks to the super support team who's been ignoring the problem for two days already!!!🤐

This works on almost all servers (well, personally, it works on me). I have completely cut off access to multiplayer and can only play on my servers, VPN also does not help solve this problem, I hope klei will see this soon

same goes for me, cant connect to a friends world.

Haven't found any solution yet, I've contacted Klei and will be able to provide more info soon.
Hopefully they fix this real quick since it's completely stopping people from playing the game.

If you have your client_log.txt and server_log.txt for when things are not connecting that can be useful to help diagnose some of the issues. I do not need the dxdiag in this just the client_log.txt from the player that is failing to connect and the server_log.txt from the server host.

Here are our client and (master) server logs. Her attempt to connect did seem to be authenticated, but she's stuck on connecting still. We're on Oceania servers.

ok guys there only a solution that a friend found.
we all connected to one local network with radmin vpn.
then make server local only.

i hope klei fix what ever changed in connection that birth this problem with hosted world ... 
even with desperate solution finally we can play

Other players can connect to the server, but I still have the issue, here's logs:

For everyone who is currently looking for a solution. As previously stated radmin VPN works like a charm. 
It's super simple to download and use (no subscription or sign up just click a few buttons) and it works with no issues.
For now while we wait I'd recommend using it as I heard many of the staff got sick so they should take some time to rest.
