Force attack not working at all

Bumping this. I tried rebinding attack, force attack, using them both at the same time, restarting game, restarting computer, uninstalling all mods, validating integrity of the files, uninstalling and reinstalling the game, unplugging external devices, and force attack STILL has not worked once.

same issue. brand new mac, fresh install no mods no key binging is working. also attempted to restart the game. seems completely broken

i think the issue might be my expectation of what is supposed to happen on screen. i was expecting force attack to swing the weapon in comparison to how the game plays when using an xbox controller.  reading some more information  it seems like this is this NOT the case? instead it allows you to target attacks at a neutral thing?  can anyone confirm this?

It should attack the nearest creature, so yes it is unlike the controller! 
I just came back to the game and retried all the above and more...

I noticed that if i hover over a neutral creature and press force attack, the text goes from examine xy to attack xy, yet the actual attack never comes regardless off proximity..

Yeah i must be stupid, the force attack key is a modifying key so you need to press that one + the attack key. It works
