This may apply to other things which have flies flying over them and are burnable. I think the flies should disappear immediately after the pighead starts burning and only reappear after it was extinguished before burning down completely.

Steps to Reproduce

Set a pighead on fire.
Step away from.
Notice the flies reappearing even while it's burning.
After the pighead burns down completely the flies are still flying over the burned corpse.
