First time installation - Game crashes at every startup

Hi,

I gifted a friend a copy of DST i still had in my steam account.
When trying to start the game on his PC, the game crashes every time from the start. Pure vanilla, no mods or Workshop items installed.
Most of the time it crashed at the "Logging in" message, a few times it got farther to the "welcome back gift" screen and then simply crashed without any input.
System specs should be more than enough, reinstalled game and distributables, verified game, restarted everything, checked firewall, etc. without any changes.
He sent me the files in his \Klei\DoNotStarveTogether\ folder and i attached the log file and.dmp file from the last try, I hope anyone can help with this issue.

Issue seems to have been caused by an instance of MSI Afterburner & Rivatuner running in the background.
Since removing them, the game can start fine on this computer.
