The error happens directly after pressing PLAY in steam. A small black window along with a tiny white window with the error message "Error during initialization" appears, as can be seen in the attached image. The program does not stop running until you press the OK button on the white error window or forcefully close DST.
I have tried to:
- Launch the game with all of the AMD enhancements turned both off and on.
- Disable all mods/workshop subscriptions.
Have been able to play the game without issues before on the same system/computer, got no idea why it stopped working just now. Can play other games such as Oxygen not included, or Horizon forbidden west just fine. Can not seem to find any .mdmp file so hopefully that is not required.
Hopefully some one smarter than me can figure it out
