DST replaced dontstarve_steam.exe and can't see saved games?

my anti-virus(norton 360) decided to quarantine the dontstarve_steam.exe file, and i couldn't restore this file back.

i re-launched DST and it replaced this file on it's own, and the game ran fine.

only problem is i can't see any saved games anymore. i can see the files manually in windows explorer though.

how do i link the save files with the game again? any help is appreciated.

* i did run the newly installed dontstarve_steam.exe with administrator rights, and this didn't make any difference.
