(DONT STARVE ALONE MOD ISSUE) Game crash upon picking up certain items in the whirlpool archives cave

EDIT: I recovered my world from the Don't Starve Alone mod and that resolved the issue. It was a mod issue, not a game issue rendering this area of the game unplayable with the mod. Still, it is annoying considering how many people, myself included, play exclusively with this mod.

Picking up some of the exclusive items (like the masks and book) occasionally causes a crash. It also happens when you pick up an item from the inventory with your mouse shortly after teleporting via one of the teleporting statue things. It happens so often that I am unable to complete the puzzles and see all the lore without the crash occuring and it rolling back the save.
