Disconnected due to missing mods (server is running old mods)

I have tried completely reinstalling Don't Starve, clearing my cache mods file, reinstalling + cleaning all my current mods, and running both Steam and DST as administrator, yet I still can't join servers that run older mods (that everyone else can run). I've noticed this isn't a very common issue with other people. How can I fix this issue? I know for a fact that it's not because of the mods they have installed (considering other people can run it).
