[critical] can't use my xbox controller on mac

i bought a xbox controller a couple of days ago for play don't starve together.
cause you sell this game with that icon 


but i can't use controller. plz fix it. i want to play with my new stuff.

Same issue - M1 Mac, Steam, Don't Starve. Controller is connected and manipulates the Steam interface. 

After launching DS, under "Controls" there's no option to choose controller.

Same issue here as well.  

Late 2015 iMac, macOS Monterey, on Steam.

Controller is connected and works fine with other games.

No option under "Controls" to choose a controller.  Says "keyboard and mouse" only.

2019 MacBookPro, macOS Ventura, on Steam.
Controller is connected and works for other games.
under "Controls" there's no option to choose controller.

I'm using translations to make this post.
