Crab King geysers didn't despawn

After killing Crab King the geysers that he spawns didn't stop. in fact it kept using it non stop, making approaching him for a second fight almost impossible.

I don't know what I did to trigger it but it was not mods for sure. I was playing on the klei official public server (south america). I unloaded the area and waited for him to respawn to see if the problem would go away and it didn't. I sacrificied an archaic boat to approach him and socket gems to start the fight again but even during this second fight the geysers would keep spawning when it was not ice floor phase. 

The photo shows him respawned but inactive, but even so the geysers are spawning non stop. You can also see that celestial champion quest has started (night phase is light blue), meaning crab king was defeated at least once with pearl. You can also see remnants of a few boats (monkeys included lol), that dared to come closer.
