Cosmetics not applying (possibly with mods?)

I purchased Wigfrid's Verdant chest the other day but for some reason they wouldn't apply in worlds even after selecting them. I tried to create numerous worlds to see if I'd get any different results, but nothing seems to have come from it.

I even tried crafting a wardrobe in game to see if I could equip it later on. For some reason the wardrobe recognises that I have cosmetics equipped, but they still don't show in game (nor do they show on the character profile). I've tried this with several different cosmetics and I still haven't seen any different results.

For some reason they finally did apply when I disabled ALL of my mods, but I'm struggling to find out why. I tested using several different ones but whenever a mod is applied in a world, the issue is present. I've tried reinstalling the game and I've deleted all my past files, but I'm yet to see any progress. 

Does anyone at all have any clue as to what's happening? or how I could fix this?
