Every time I boot up the game I either it either cannot connect to Klei servers, or on the off chance it connects first try, immediately cannot retrieve my inventory. I created a world as wortox and can no no longer play on it because the game forces me to reselect my character and says I do not own him when i try to load in, as well as unequipping any skins I had on any time I load into a world. It is not internet connection issues, as I have no trouble connecting to steam and, if I boot the game up on my laptop ( which was downloaded before the pc factory reset) I am able to connect to klei servers and retrieve my inventory just fine, first try from the same exact steam account. None of the troubleshooting lists contain any solution for this, I have reinstalled the game multiple times, cleared my mods folder, etc.
Redownloaded the game after a PC factory reset and now I consistently cannot connect to Klei servers and or retrieve my inventory when trying to boot up the game, as well as being unable to play any unlockable characters or equip skins because it will unequip them once I load into the world, I also cannot earn gift drops, and have to re open and close the game over and over again until it lets me receive them, as well as resetting all of my saved skin outfits each time i reopen the game. It is not reliable to have to reopen and close the game 8 times for it to allow me to use my skins, because sometimes even while connected to the server it will stop letting me use skins.
