Character not able to interact with anything and also can't move properly in my friend's server.

When I host a server (with mods) to play with my friend, it worked and has been working since November last year, until a few days ago. When I create a server and invite my friend through Steam, when he joins his character is unable to interact with anything (unable to attack mobs, pick up twigs, etc.) and the character moves according to the last inputted movement key only. The same thing happens when he creates the server and invites me. We tried to disable all mods and a lot of other "solutions" all with no success. How can I fix this issue?

A developer has marked this issue as fixed. This means that the issue has been addressed in the current development build and will likely be in the next update.

Does your friend happen to be playing on a beta release of Mac OS? A few of us have experienced the same kind of thing (in particular, moving the same direction as the last key pressed) and a common theme is that we are all on various Mac OS betas. Here's a link to the bug report: 

 

I don't know of a solution yet (and I'm currently waiting for the next Mac OS release so that I can get out of the beta program). Please let me know if you find something that works!
