I merged my Xbox account with my PlayStation account with PlayStation as the account to keep. When I opened a world and picked Wolfgang. I lost access to my celestial champion kill which allows me to pick lunar affinity. BUT I still had points invested into lunar affinity.
Steps to Reproduce
1. Make 2 accounts. with lunar/shadow affinity on one and the other account with none.
2. On the account with lunar/shadow affinity. Invest points into your selected affinity
3. Merge the accounts
