If I turn on the fullscreen setting on Don't Starve Together I am unable to switch to other windows/desktops. If I play on windowed the resolution is garbage and my inputs sometimes function weirdly. It's like it overlays on top of everything you can't even see the ui that usually is on top of everything like changing the volume or brightness. Other games I've played on Mac usually don't have this issue they just behave like any other app you fullscreen on Mac allowing you to switch to other windows by swiping the touchpad, by using F3 or by Command + Tab.
Launch Don't Starve on a Computer with MacOS (A MacBook Air in my case)
Open settings
Turn on fullscreen (sometimes it just straight up crashes when you do that)
Try to switch to a different window or desktop (Like a browser app you have open)
Realize literally the only way to interact with something else on your computer besides the steam overlay is to either switch back to windowed (Might crash it again) or just close itÂ
