Can't open a new world

I tried creating a new world and launching it, no mods, no settings change, it starts loading, then stops, goes to a black screen and says:

Every time I tried again, it went the same way. I tried restarting the computer and reinstalling, no success.

Steps to Reproduce

I opened the game after not playing for a long time and started a new world, nothing else

I had the same problem. Plus the additional problem of not being able to launch the game (Something about steam not having permission to write the config files).

Creating an exception in your anti-virus software's settings fixed it for me. Personally I use AVG Free.
Create an exception for both the executable file for DST and another for the other .exe file in the same folder "dontstarve_dedicated_server_nullrenderer"

You can find these files in the storage device you have installed your game in, something like C:/programfiles(x86)/steam/steamapps/common/Don'tStarveTogether/Bin
