Cant jump through slimy pit after defeating a tentapillar

When i defeated a tentapillar it wouldn’t let me jump in but it let me give things to it. Anything i gave it was spat back out. 

Steps to Reproduce

Defeat a tentapillar with gunpowder and wait after the earthquake 

Go to bugs

This happens when a tentapillar has no connection to another do you use any mods or have you used any in the past for your world?
