Cant craft cut stone!

When we try to craft cut stone, it says "I cant do that". But it eats our stone and doesnt give us cut stone.

UPDATE: The issue may have to do with my friend's game. We tried it with me hosting and I had no trouble crafting it, but when my friend tried to craft the cut stone, the game crashed

EDIT: My friend had one file that wasnt validated and was being acquired according to steam, so the issue is fixed.
