When trading the monkey queen bananas for the different sorts of blueprints, it is possible to lock yourself out of obtaining the cannonball blueprint, at least through trading yourself.
The reason this can happen is because the game only checks for whether you have obtained the boat cannon blueprint for the trade that includes the blueprint for cannonballs.
So if the player for instance learns the cannon blueprint, but burns the one for the cannonballs, then that player will only be able to obtain that specific blueprint either if another player plays with them and hasn't learned it, or if they lose all their prototyping progress through wilderness death.
Here's part of SGmonkeyqueen.lua, the highlighted line is the check I am referring to:
- Obtain the Boat Cannon Kit blueprint as well as the Cannonball Blueprint from the Monkey queen.
- Learn the Boat Cannon Kit recipe.
- Burn the Cannonball Blueprint.
- The Cannonball Blueprint is now not directly available to this player.
A developer has marked this issue as fixed. This means that the issue has been addressed in the current development build and will likely be in the next update.
