Problem: Mods downloaded from Workshop are not going to Don't Starve Together mod files, instead they are going to Steam's Workshop files.
First Incident: So for context I played Don't Starve Together for a long time, never had a problem with the game. But after I bought a new computer (my old computer had permanent damage to the motherboard that resulted in his malfunctioning) I started to experience the problem cited in the first topic.
What I tried: I tried to download some mods from the Steam's Workshop like I did several times before. Steam seems to download (I can see the game updating in Steam Library), but when I boot up the game the majority of the mods are broken like the follow image:
When I press the button to update mods, the game just loads and nothing changes at all. I tried to see if it was a mod compatibility issue, so I got a friend of mine to download the same mods and it worked fine for them. So I started to search for a solution and when I was searching for the mods files I stumbled across Steam's Workshop folder. In the Steam's Workshop folder I could find all my mods, so I just copy and paste the mods in my Don't Starve Together mods folder and worked, but all Server mods downloaded are incompatible for hosting a multiplayer world, none of my friend can join in my world without download the mods manually.
What is really strange is that I tried to uninstall and install again, tried to verify files integrity, tried to remove Steam Cloud and repeat the process cited before and nothing works. But when I downloaded the Don't Starve (Standalone version) and tried to download mods for it, it worked just fine, no problem at all.
I see people saying that is because of trying to download Steam and Don't Starve Together on different HDDs (or SSDs), but I have just one HDD. Maybe it's some simple solution that I can't find for myself.
I have seen more people with similar problems on the internet.
Steps to Reproduce
For me was just:
1. Download the game in a new device.
2. Download a mod from Steam's Workshop
3. Try to enable it.
