BUG - Can Not Build Prototype

I am playing as Walter for the first time and I can not build the protoypes for his different slingshot ammo types.

I hear the sound for making a prototype but there is no building animation and nothing happens.

I have tried restarting the game and disabling mods.

Steps to Reproduce

I am Walter.

It is day 63.

It is Autumn.

I have marble.

I am next to an alchemy machine.

I try to build the marbles prototype.

The protoype sound plays but there is no buil animation and nothing happens.
