Beefalo resets taming when you enter and exit caves

This makes it nearly impossible to tame a beefalo. So I will go to the ruins say on day 10 on a beef and accumulate something like 40% by the time I leave. And as soon as I go up on the surface this resets to either 0% or an earlier prior percentage like 4%. 

Steps to Reproduce
  1. Tame a beefalo to any percentage (The higher the better for dramatic effect)
  2. Go down to the caves and observe the percentage
  3. Stay a little, increase the percentage some more
  4. Exit the caves and go up

I always tame beefalo and do ruins run and never have this problem. Check your mods or something else.

Yeah, as Tiberian said, this is likely a server mod issue you have. Also make sure to verify integrity of game files.
