After "planting" the tree nut, placing one dock to reach it, and making it grow into the Above-Average Tree Trunk. Once you destroy the dock, if the tree is "touching" the dock, it breaks too.
(The only mod that I used in the process was the Geometric placement, in order to precisely place the nut in the middle of the tiles).
Before and After the ocurrence (notice how the left one is not affected, while the right one is, also, in both cases, the gunpowder was placed in the oposite corner from the tree, so there is no chance that it hit the tree):
Steps to Reproduce
- Plant the knobly nut in the middle of four water tiles;
- use a dock to reach and enrich it;
- wait for it to grow into an above average tree;
- destroy the dock.
