About
When converting save to cloudsave/localfile, the cloudsave disappeared.
I found a easy way to reproduce this bug, and I recorded a 2-min video to display it.
You can also follow the instructions below to reproduce the bug.
How to reproduce
0. Preparation (can skip)
- Verify game file.
- Rename user save folder to some other name (as for me, it's klei/DoNotStarveTogether/857197446. So I renamed it to other name and now I have a clean debug environment.
1. Configuration
Launch game, click Options, then change default save type to "Steam Cloud".
2. Create new save slot
Launch game. Make sure no existing save slot.
Click Host Game, create a new world, please make sure the save type is cloudsave.
(Tips: cave shard is not necessary to reproducer this bug, so you can just create a no cave world)
After loading, just disconnect, wait the game to reset.
3. Convert save and find bug
Click Host Game, you will find the save slot that you created lately.
Click manage world button on right. Duplicate this save slot, now you have two save slot: one is original, another is copy.
Click manage world button of the copy slot. Convert it to localsave, and then convert it to cloudsave instantly.
[Bug] Now you will only see one save slot.
P.S. This bug is quite easy to reproduce, bug I find some warning message in client_log.txt, It may be useful, too.
