Weremoose Charge Cancelling Itself

The Weremoose is cancelling his charge very shortly after it starts without me doing anything.  The animation looks like it's the stop charge perk, which I do have unlocked, but I'm not pressing B again to cancel. 

Steps to Reproduce

- Have the perk unlock that allows charge cancellation. 

- Attempt to charge.

- The charge stops after a very short distance each time.  

I've tried this fighting enemies and standing in an open area.

The charge is cancelled by directional input, not the B button. Try releasing the left stick if you're using controllers.
