Seeds in the water can have the new docks placed on them and they won't update to show their out-of-water sprite. I don't know if this applies to other items that can be found in the water.
EDIT: it seems like this is less doable than I thought. I don't know why it let me once.
Steps to Reproduce
Docks naturally allow you to place them when a seed (possibly other items) is in the way so all it takes is that being there and deploying a dock.
EDIT: this only let me do this one time. The second image shows not being able to place a dock there. I don't know the condition.
