First the rose is displayed as just "Flower" in the scrapbook
The rose doesn't want to discover when examining both the one spawned from the defeat of the Ancient Fuelweaver and the one that can be spawned via placing butterflies
as evidenced by a lack of popup

Defeat Ancient Fuelweaver and examine the flower
Capture and plant butterflies and examine the rose
A developer has marked this issue as fixed. This means that the issue has been addressed in the current development build and will likely be in the next update.
