Ocean maelstroms can suck world-unique items (e.g., Celestial Orb, Pearl, Terrarium, Eye Bone) from the surface into the caves. Once these items are moved to the cave world, they become impossible to retrieve back to the surface. This mechanic is highly dangerous if exploited intentionally, as it can permanently halt world progression.
Steps to Reproduce
As demonstrated in the video above：
- Place a backpack containing world-unique items on a boat.
- Position the boat near an active maelstrom.
- Allow the maelstrom to consume the boat.
- Observe: The backpack (with all contained items) is transported to the caves.
A developer has marked this issue as fixed. This means that the issue has been addressed in the current development build and will likely be in the next update.
