Normally when the player gets close to freezing during Winter, frost begins to form around the edges of the screen to signify you're about to start taking freezing damage. However, this warning doesn't appear in other seasons and is only a feature during Winter.
I believe part of the reason it's like this is due to temperatures dropping low enough to trigger this warning near the end of Autumn, but players won't take damage from freezing until the very last night of Autumn.
With the introduction of the Ice Crystaleyezer, this becomes a lot more problematic as it constantly makes the temperature around it below freezing, regardless of season. This means you'll start taking damage without any warning unless it's Winter.
I'd like to point out this has also been creating an issue during Spring, as wetness will commonly drop your temperature to make you freeze without warning.
- Place an Ice Crystaleyezer and socket it with an eyeball during Autumn, Spring, or Summer.
- Stand inside of it's radius for a few moments.
- Start taking freezing damage with no warning.
