Caves crash every 3-5 days

Okay, so I've been playing beta for a couple of months and everything was fine, but with the most recent update this happened.

For some reason, whenever I go down to the caves, do all my business there and go back to the surface, after 10-20 minutes all the sinkholes are blocked by some vines. Re-entering the server somewhat helps, but it just keeps happening over and over.
