Update Information:
Hey everyone, a new beta has just been released!
As we are nearing Winter's Feast this year, we'd like to beta test some of the gameplay changes and additions related to Pearl that we've decided to release at the same time as Winter's Feast in a few weeks.
Instructions for accessing the beta branch can be found here. As always, things may be changed or retuned, and we'll be looking forward to your feedback during beta.
Additions
- Added several new structures that can be crafted for Pearl after meeting certain conditions, including a Tea Shop, Hot Spring, Large Drying Rack, Light Post, and Combriner.
- Added several new items that require Salt Crystals to be crafted at the Combriner.
- Added a new upgrade tier for Pearl’s Place after meeting certain conditions, with customizable slots for Wind Charm decorations.
- Added Fishy Jerky and Small Fishy Jerky.
- Petals and other similar leaf type materials can be dried on any Drying Rack.
Changes
- Pearl’s Drying rack converted to work through the container UI.
- You can now soak in the Hot Springs found on the Lunar island.
- Adjusted gestalt possession chance when a bird dies during the Lunar Rift cycle.
- Food drinks have a unique animation and sound when consuming.
- Barnacles now use the quick eating animation.
- Tumbleweed and Buzzard spawners save their max number of spawns instead of randomizing every game session.
- Adjusted Ice Cube crafting recipe cost.
- Adjusted Ice replenishing amount for repairing items.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed Beeswax still melting after the fire source that was melting it goes away.
- Fixed Bird shadows appearing even when inside a container or inventory on load.
- Fixed being unable to heal Brightshades with healing items.
- Fixed spiders not remembering their leader after mutating from a corpse.
- Fixed many crafting recipes missing a hint string.
- Fixed Jubilantern Posts and Mini Signs being destroyed and/or uprooted by Winona’s catapults.
- Fixed Pearl’s font color not being networked to the client.
- Fixed all Drying Racks not counting towards the Hermit Crab's drying task.
- Fixed the Hermit Crab forgetting how many dried items were eaten when reloading a world.
Notes for modders
- The mod release ID for this patch is R40_PEARLMAS.
- Fixed a game crash when the amphibiouscreature component is removed from an entity, and the entity dies.
- A new “teleport_move” event is now pushed immediately after an entity’s position is moved during a teleportation sequence, eg. Hermit Crab relocation, Telelocator Staff, etc.
