raptor42
As far as I can tell, while people have made posts about similar issues, I haven't seen this particular solution yet. I would like to be able to have a storage/material selection on the electric grill that is similar to that in ration boxes or refrigerators. I've been testing out sustaining myself mostly off of omelettes from shinebug ranching, which for my smaller colonies (usually 7-10 dupes) seems to be a viable option now that tamed shinebugs drop an egg every 1.5 cycles. However, I often want to save eggs of a specific morph to hatch rather than cook since I'm also having fun moving up the shinebug morph tree. Currently, this means that I have to have the eggs I don't want cooked locked in a ration box that's multiple tiles behind/below doors that only my rancher can open, and the eggs I do want cooked brought to a ration box closer to my grilling station. This tends to slow things down though, and I still have to watch to make sure my rancher doesn't manage to bring a precious egg to the grill to be cooked up. I think that having a selection on the grill so that I can tell it to cook, say, hatchling eggs and xyz shine nymph eggs but NOT sage hatchling eggs or nega shine nymph eggs would be an easy way to solve this issue. RIP my first sage hatch egg in that colony, you never got to reach your poo-eating coal-pooing potential. scientas
I suggested a prep table that would essentially act as storage for ingredients based on recipe. So if you selected omelettes you could check all and it would store and use any available eggs or you could select which specific ones you wanted to use like regular hatch eggs. The recipe would basically be your "organic material" level of the tree.
