Gift from the Insomniac

Recommended Posts

Problem:

A thread showed up about our beloved Wickerbottom, who has troubling sleeping, has a minor flaw. That would be the benefit of sleeping near a Feast Tree. This makes a frustrating thought for players who plays Wickerbottom on different reasons. :wilson_enraged::wilson_enraged:

Which makes all Wickerbottom players cry deep in their "kokoro." :wilson_cry::wilson_cry:

Even for an overpowered character, especially in PVP ;), this lovely librarian must have the gift of Winter's Feast and this is where we'll give that gift.

Mechanics:

For those who don't know, when Winter's Feast was completely live on both live and beta branches of Don't Starve Together. It added a feature when sleeping near a Feast Tree which was decorated by the exclusive decorations acquired by killing mobs and submerged in complete darkness of night, a "sound" can be heard  signifying a "present" was dropped by a mysterious "entity." Opening the present will give you materials and equipment which is dependent on the "decorations" placed. Both two are directly proportional and affect both together. And for the purpose, a 4 day reset timer for the Feast Tree which gave a present for balancing reasons.

Solution:

The solution of this problem is a long-term, practically well-planned organization of individual mechanics combined together to form a reusable "machine" that makes Wickerbottom sleep forcefully, which can not be done by sleeping on a tent,bed/fur roll. In which results of the mechanics of the Festive Tree to take place. Making a practical solution for people who are eager to save on mandrakes as a form of a force-sleep condition.

However, danger beholds as this uses a dangerous beast to acquire the conditions you want to. I'm warning you!!!!

(What will happen next is not my fault.)

 Golden Rules of Operating:

  • "The one whose hungry is the one who must be famished. Provisions bring destruction  upon the gourmand's command."

Explanation: Bearger has a practical sense of detecting food. And what fuels its anger will be food itself. On a character's inventory and even any structure that can contain edible food itself will make the Bearger prioritize and undoubtedly cause havoc if one doesn't imply by the golden rule itself.

  • "In the light of darkness, some works are better kept hidden. It's better this way."

20161226231355_1.jpg

Explanation: Complete darkness is one of the three components to activate a mysterious mechanic, along with sleeping and the decorated Feast Tree itself. Having light itself is not a poor idea to see your majestic tree covered with festivity but removes one of the essential parts to have yourself a present.

  • "The beast that has an advantage on close combat has no chance on elvish techniques."

20161226231151_1.jpg

Explanation: Know the creature's limits. Even if it is destructive as it is, it has a vulnerability. Carnivorous lureplants make way as a form an indestructible wall to enclose the victim and reduce its area of movement. Together with 4 sleep darts, pan flute. and even her Sleepytime Stories to put the mighty creature into a deep sleep.

Spoiler

For people who made a discovery earlier than mine. I actually formulated a thought of this but was lazy enough to do it first so yeahhh.......
