Can't draw for shize

This is me venting out my frustration that happened 2 days ago 

After dismantling 4 character mod (including the god dogger Musha)

I created a custom character that can use wetness as a secondary healthbar

Run well on both dlc, doesn't crash for 30 minute, already feel like a pro-grammer

Already prepared to do some finishing touch

That's when I realize that I can't freaking do sprite

Only know how to make forced meme using basic photoshopping skill

Uses Photoshop but character looks like it's made using paint crayon

Have no concept of coloring, palette, and gradient 

Mouth's crooked, Pupils misplaced, looks more like a retarded snake than a water elemental

Can someone please recommend something that would help me become better artist

I always base on existing characters (meaning look at them) and kinda try to imitate the style. Of course you can see it's a custom character as I can't imitate the style perfectly, but it works for a mod I guess. Basing on other characters is the best though
