Because the orignals (both the characters and the books themselves) are _much_ darker and spookier...or at least, Somebody You Don't Mess With. Oh. Wow. HOW the phrack did it take me _this long_ to connect the original Oz books and Don't Starve, style/feel-wise?! Wow. I mean, the books are sillier and more lighthearted, but there is some _dark stuff_ in there and they were even written during the 1900's..Maxwell's era! Now I'm imagining some weird crossover or something where Charlie is Princess Ozma* grown up gone wrong, and Woodie is, of course, the Tin Woodsman... ...and Maxwell is THE WIZARD! Pretends to be all that, really got his power from something that wasn't his*...hmmm... And there are totally all kinds of villages/settlements of all kinds of weird creatures... Game theory get on this! Also, in a way all of them are Dorothy. They find themselves trapped in a mysterious world, and travel as far as they can to meet the "Wizard" but in the end, they all see that the wizard was just a normal man, corrupted with power. Except (for now) only the wizard of Oz has a happy ending :3 [okay now we can get back to the thingie] Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/72469-could-there-be-more-then-the-pig-king-to-rule-over-people/page/2/#findComment-848846 Share on other sites
