Mods not appearing

I have not played Dont Starve ROG in a few months.  Got the bug yesterday, and was able to play fine.  Today when I started a game, it would crash.  I ended up uninstalling, clearing data, and reinstalling (via Steam).

I had been using a mod or two (architectural geometry & Seasonclock), and re-added both to my mods folder ( C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\dont_starve\mods).  However, when I start Dont Starve, the Mod page does not list either mod in the left hand side.  All i have access to is the Screetcher mod and Assisted Geometry (which is not in my Mods folder). 

I have downloaded a new mod (Combined status), and pushed it to the mod folder, and again, it does not show up when I start Dont Starve and go to the mod page.  Im sorry if this has already been covered, i looked over the first few pages of this forum, but did not see anything relevant.

Any ideas?
