Beefalo AI still needs some work. I believe the general suggestions were that beefalo need to stay together, as a herd, since right now they wander off over time. This could be solved by making one beefalo an "alpha" and forcing all other beefalo to remain within a certain distance of said alpha beefalo.

The Devs have also hinted that there will be behavior changes coming to the beefalo associated with the seasons. Some players, myself included, believe this refers to mating season, which could mean baby beefalo. Also, it could mean that adult beefalo will become hostile to players who venture too close to baby beefalo (and maybe give a purpose to the beefalo hat... to disguise yourself as a baby beefalo). Of course these are just guesses and suggestions.
