Laggs Bug

Does anyone else lag super bad when you go insane or when there is any tropical storm? Even the windy times slow me down Any suggestions?

I lag like crazy as well but this happens on other don't starve modes as well not just SW. I'm guess our computers just aren't cut out for it. It gets worse the longer I play so I usually save and quit when it gets too bad and then reload the game. Closing down any high proccessing programs will also help (ex skype, microsoft excel). If your computer is getting really hot during those periods then watch out for overheating! If it gets too hot the computer will just hard shut down and its not good for the machine. Cooling pads or even proping the comp up so air can move underneath it will help.

Yes, on my computer, it lags too during tropical storms. But it lagged also in snowy woods in previous Don't starve version.

I'm lagging pretty horribly during storms or in very dense jungles with apes everywhere.  Sometimes even when sailing, it will seem like a key has gotten stuck, and Wilson will only go that direction for a while, with me only able to navigate him slightly up or down.  My computer has handled hordes of spiders and bees and sprawling forests in base game without a problem.
