Black Screen on Startup

Hi, i just got Mark of the Ninja on steam thanks to some sweet sales. However when i launch the game all i get is a black screen, my cursor, and some music. I have tried a couple of things but so far nothing has seemed to work, and no amount of research is leading me to a solution. Here are my specs and what i have tried:

I7 - 3770k

nvidia 670 - drivers 310.70

8gb ram

windows 7 ult

I have tried hitting alt + enter when game starts as i herd it helped others in similar situations.

Deleting my appdata local temp data

reinstalling

running the DirectX from the file in the game folder.

Verified my game.

Looked at the trouble shooting at the top of this forum.

Any help would be awesome.
