Yiyang Posted August 31, 2015 Share Posted August 31, 2015 Bug Submission: Category: General Issue Title: Lan can not connect Issue Description: Me and my boyfriend are on the same network at home (connected wirelessly to the same router). we both have macs. we just bought the game 2 days ago. Have not been able to play together. When we try lan, when one of us hosts and set "local only", the other is able to see it under lan server tab when browsing servers. but when try to connect, messages shows up "Server only allows local connections". We have tried everything. logging into steam in offline mode. turning off the firewall. even connecting two computers using ethernet cable, connecting both computers using cable to the router, setting mac ad hoc network on one computer and the other one connecting to it. We still get the same failure message every time. Steps to Reproduce: 1.Mac A and B connected wirelessly/or with ethernet cable to the same router. 2.both launch steam, both launch games. Mac A host local only server. 3. Mac B browse server and find the server under Lan tab. 4.
