Issue Description: My daughter and I want to play together, and yet even with just two of us, sitting next to each other, we are unable to play because of lag. I have looked at everything suggested, and none of it makes any difference. We've tried each of us hosting, and we've tried online and LAN doing this, and it just is not playable. Our ping is something like 17, so in theory it should not be this bad. Is there some kind of optimization that we can do? I have not yet tried us being wired to work, but we are not currently set up for that to be easy to maintain.
