Custom Speech Files (Complete Idiot Here)

Hi! I was wondering if anybody knew where i can find a tutorial or anything on custom speech files? I'm not really familiar with LUA and scripting has never made any sense to me. i just wanna edit the speech files so the characters say something different but maybe i'm just stupid or something but i cannot seem to find any topics anywhere on how i can do this.

 

If somebody could tell me how i'd be able to do this or link me to a tutorial on how i would be able to do this it would be very much appreciated.
