Reverse controls

I'm almost done with my mod; however, there seems to be one major problem I cant seem fix. Whenever my character happens to get cold while becoming wimpy, the controls on both controller and the keyboard are reversed. Literally my character starts running backwards and left is right and up is down etc. This occurrence only happens when he's wimpy and cold, however everything else works just fine. If someone could give me some advice on what to look at or what's happening, I would very much appreciate it.
