A little help please

As someone who works as a software engineer with a degree in CS I am sad to say I couldn't figure this out myself :/ . I don't do animations ever though so this is kind of new to me with the art. I am realllllly basic right now just trying to put a custom item on a sample character. I keep getting the error

 

"attempt to index local inst a nil value"

          blablah give item

when I try to load the character int he game

 

I don't see any errors in my code and I havn't really changed much tbh from the working sample char.

 

I'll attach the character. At the moment I'm just trying to put the item in the game. It doesn't even do anything. Just want to be able to put it on and take it off.

 

Sorry if this is breaking the rules (plz let me know and how to correctly do this) but here is a dropbox link to download the character if you guys could take a look for me.

In your log.txt:

Can't find prefab badgerhat

In your "..\scripts\prefabs\badgerhat.lua" :

return Prefab( "common/inventory/YOUR_PREFAB_HERE", fn, assets)

Correct the prefab name.
